The Best of Georgia and the Global Fintech Ecosystem
For one week in October, Fintech South will be the epicenter of the fintech universe. Our mission at Fintech South is to both to shine a spotlight on the Georgia financial technology ecosystem as well as host the global fintech community. Regardless of whether you are based in Atlanta, Charlotte, New York, San Francisco, London or Singapore, you will find familiar colleagues at our event and will also have the opportunity to make new connections from around the world.
You’ll also find the full breadth of fintech represented among the senior leaders in attendance and on our stages. Over the last few years, nearly one-third of our attendees have held C-Suite roles in their organizations, including stakeholders from the payments industry, banking, wealth management, insurance, retail and commerce, government and regulatory, venture capital, startup founders, technology service providers, non-profits, and local, national and international media.
Georgia Fintech is More Than Just Transaction Alley
Of all the billions of payment transactions taking place each day across the United States, more than 70 percent are processed by companies in Atlanta and around Georgia. That remarkable statistic has helped Atlanta earn the nickname “Transaction Alley.” Today, Georgia’s thriving fintech ecosystem represents broad-based growth beyond its payments industry foundation, and Atlanta has emerged as a world-class hub for financial technology.
- More than 38,000 fintech specialists drive our ecosystem,
- The top 20 Georgia-based fintech companies alone generate an estimated $72 billion in annual revenue, and
- The diversity of the Georgia fintech organizations spans over 170 companies across numerous financial services verticals.
The Fintech South events are a product of this momentum, a collaborative effort of our remarkable local fintech community.

One of the greatest aspects of events is meeting new people, but we know your time is valuable and you need to make the most of it. That is why our AI-powered networking platform is designed to help you efficiently navigate the profiles of the thousands of attendees at Fintech South and make the right connections to meet your objectives.
The matchmaking process is intent-based, and so buyers are matched with sellers, investors with startups, employers with job seekers and so forth. The attendee list is sorted in priority order for you with the most relevant potential connections at the top of the list. You are in complete control.
The short video below from Brella, our virtual event platform provider, demonstrates how you will be able each out to other attendees with common interests, schedule and reschedule meetings, and engage in 1-to-1 video calls, all within the event platform. Even our 2019 venue Mercedes-Benz Stadium can’t do that!
But the opportunities to connect don’t stop there. Take some time to visit the 50+ exhibitors in our fully interactive virtual expo, also powered by Brella. Each organization’s virtual booth includes multi-media resources to help you learn about their mission, people, products and services. Attendees can search exhibitor listings and connect directly with their teams to ask questions in a dedicated chat or arrange 1-on-1 video meetings.
The short video below describes some benefits for sponsors powered by the Brella platform, but it also demonstrates how Fintech South attendees can learn about and connect with the exhibitors in our virtual expo from wherever they are in the world–another great way to engage with the global fintech community that will gather in our virtual space.
